On November 2015, Difference Makers of Hawaii recognized Christine Simpson of Shoes for the Homeless Oahu, as the first ever Difference Maker. Since then, we have met amazing, generous, productive, and most of all, humble individuals who utilize their gifts and passions to give back to the community.
We’ve come to find that the common thread between all of our Difference Makers is their ability to persevere despite obstacles and unforeseen challenges. You all are truly an inspiration!
We’ve also come to learn that simple words like “that sounds like a great idea” and “yes, that’s possible” breathes life into amazing things. If you have been thinking about ways to give back to the community and are unsure about where to get started, contact us here at Difference Makers of Hawaii. Find inspiration with us, be encouraged, and start making your visions in to a reality.
On that note, WE ARE IN SEARCH FOR MORE DIFFERENCE MAKERS. LET’S ACKNOWLDGE THOSE WHO WORK WHEN THEY DON’T HAVE TO, LOVE WHEN IT’S HARD, AND CONTINUE TO GIVE EVEN WHEN THERE’S NOT MUCH LEFT. You can do this by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For May, we would like to recap our 6 Difference Makers who continue to put their best foot forward in making Hawaii and the world a better place.
